Product engineering
New features and product surfaces built on Ruby on Rails or Java Spring Boot, from spec to production, with tests and monitoring included rather than added later.
Managed engineering, on subscription
Selovate gives CTOs and technical founders direct access to a senior engineer on a monthly subscription: product engineering, platform modernization, and AI wired into your existing product. One person doing the work, no agency layer in between.
Capabilities
Three service lines. All delivered by the same person, in your codebase, on your tools.
01
New features and product surfaces built on Ruby on Rails or Java Spring Boot, from spec to production, with tests and monitoring included rather than added later.
02
Breaking monoliths into services, cleaning up slow CI pipelines, fixing the data and infrastructure debt that's quietly slowing your team down.
03
Adding AI capability to a product you already run: retrieval, internal automation, or agent workflows scoped to one real workflow, not a rebuild.
The model
No proposals with padded estimates. A fixed monthly rate for defined capacity, and you can stop whenever it stops making sense.
Thirty minutes. You describe the problem, I ask what I need to scope it. No deck, no sales team.
We agree on a fixed weekly capacity and a monthly rate before any work starts. No hourly surprises.
I work inside your existing tools: your repo, your issue tracker, your Slack or standups. Not a separate portal.
No annual lock-in. Pause the subscription when you don't need the capacity, restart when you do.
Why subscription instead of project quotes: fixed-scope quotes reward padding the estimate. A subscription means the incentive is to keep the work worth paying for, month to month.
There's no generic tiered price list — rates are set on the intro call, based on the capacity you actually need.
Founder note
Gokul P.
Founder & engineer, Selovate
I'm Gokul. Before Selovate, I spent 12 years as a backend and platform engineer, most recently leading technical delivery for teams working on TuneCore's distribution platform and Enphase Energy's solar monitoring systems, and before that on healthcare interoperability work built on Cerner Millennium. I've built real-time pipelines handling millions of messages an hour, rebuilt CI suites that were costing teams hours every day, and led the kind of monolith-to-microservices work that's more organizational than technical.
Selovate is how I offer that same experience directly, without an agency layer in between. You work with me — the person actually writing the code — not an account manager relaying your requests to a bench of junior engineers.
If that trade — a senior engineer's full attention instead of a bigger, more diluted team — fits where you are, let's talk.
